“Anne
Louisse’s Met Gala debut”
SunStar Davao, Nov. 4, 2023
No power outages or
heavy rains can dampen the excitement as Anne Louisse Cruz, affectionately
known as Loyzz, celebrated her much-anticipated debut.
From the tender age
of 9 months, Loyzz displayed her star quality, clinching the SM Star Baby for
Visayas and Mindanao. Her photogenic charm shone through at the age of 3 when
she claimed the title of Ms. Photogenic in Munting Mutya. Yet, this stunning
lady’s ambitions extend beyond the spotlight; she currently serves as the vice president
of her school's Disaster Response Team, harboring aspirations to become a neurosurgeon
in the future.
Loyzz is not your
ordinary debutante. She is a multi-talented artist, dancer, singer, pianist,
guitarist, and an aspiring model. Her passion for art extends to drawing,
particularly in the realm of anime and human cartoons.
The debut
celebration, held at the exquisite Waterfront Insular Hotel in Davao, was an
extravaganza eight months in the making. The theme, inspired by the renowned
Met Gala, encouraged guests to unleash their inner fashionistas, channeling the
extravagant House of Dior for their style cues. The navy blue and white color
scheme provided a striking backdrop, paying homage to the iconic
"Junon" dress from 1949, originally designed by Monsieur Christian
Dior.
The preparations
were a labor of love, with every detail meticulously curated. Loyzz's pre-debut
shoot captured the essence of fashion and sophistication, while the
Dior-inspired invites set the tone for the grand affair. The venue, decorated
by the talented Noel Tanza of Golden Touch, exuded opulence, and glamour, while
K Events by Korine Navarro ensured that every aspect of the event ran
seamlessly.
The night's
entertainment was no less exceptional. Brandy Fuentes masterfully steered the
evening as the host, while DJ Joshua Badion kept the energy high on the dance
floor. Aries Buenvenida's breathtaking gown transformed Loyzz into a vision of
elegance and grace. Her robe, courtesy of Amore Bridal, added an extra touch of
glamour.
Kenjie Go and Reymark Espina worked their magic, enhancing Loyzz's natural beauty with makeup and hairstyling that left guests in awe. The cake, a masterpiece by Jose Ermenegildo Rodriguez, was an impressive work of art. Meanwhile, Alors A Home Kitchen delighted taste buds with delectable cocktails, perfectly complementing the evening.
Loyzz's choreographer, Analyn Lechadores Turno, orchestrated a mesmerizing dance routine that showcased her talents in a splendid performance with older brother Austin as the escort. The band, Syntheory, kept the atmosphere electric, guaranteeing a night to remember.
The emotional high
points of the evening included touching speeches from Loyzz's parents. Her mom
Alexes emphasized the importance of kindness, while her dad Allan encouraged
her to dream big and value family above all else. The highlight of the night
was a heartwarming dance with her father, who, despite his shyness, gave his
all for his beloved daughter.
Loyzz’s debut gala
was not just a celebration of youth but a grand entrance into a world of dreams
and possibilities. It was a night filled with fashion, art, and heartfelt
moments, symbolizing her journey into adulthood and her pursuit of a future
filled with happy surprises and exciting anticipation.
